Radiation sterilization: Fast, reliable, without residues With any form of packaging, there is the danger that the product will be contaminated by micro-organisms. Radiation sterilization prevents migration of production based microorganisms from the packaging to its contents. At BGS, even the inner surfaces of closed packages can be reliably sterilized. ARaymondlife ongoing innovation is a plastic closure for vial named RayDyLyo. RayDyLyo is a closure system for sterile vial according to Annex 1 of GMP. As part of their strategy to be a complete solution provider within medical polymer products, Nolato Medical has further extended their technology base to also include Micro Molding of thermoplastic materials.

CR Spray Cap
Nolato Medical Pharma Packaging have a long history of designing and manufacturing pharmaceutical plastic packaging. Child Resistant Closure Systems are one of the specialist areas and the most recent example is a unique Child Resistant Closure for a Spray dispenser. The opening procedure is based on a ‘squeeze and turn’ principal, however, unlike traditional CR closures, where the cap is squeezed, this operation has been transferred to the collar component. This adds to the security and also minimizes the risk of children accidentally using their teeth to open the pack.

Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company Inc.(MGC)is a manufacture of unique plastic resins, oxygen absorber, oxygen absorbing film and so on. MGC has just developed New Oxygen Absorbing Resin (OA Resin) with transparency. MGC is planning to place Glass-like Multilayer vials and syringes with OA resin on the market. These products are expected to realize zero oxygen permeation for a long time. In addition, the water vapor barrier is also very high as COP is used to the outside and the inside layer. MGC definitely recommends to replace glass vials and syringes with our multilayer products.

Punching and sealing machine for lab-based feasibility studies

The Rychiger RD 06 is designed to perform feasibility studies and test production runs with process parameters that are identical with those of industrial sealing machines, providing reproducible results. ASEPTIC DISPENSE VALVE BRINGS ACCURACY AND LOW MAINTENANCE TO STERILE FILLING OPERATIONS
The 754V-SS valve is a precision dispense valve with an aseptic design that reduces the risk of contamination in sterile fluid filling processes. Typical uses include filling contact lens packages with saline, dispensing monomers into lens moulds, filling vials with drugs, and small volume food and beverage applications. 
The 754V-SS can be cycled up to 500 times per minute, with shot size ranging from 0.5 micro litres to a continuous flow rate of 60 micro litres per second. A fast, clean cut off after each shot prevents drips and waste.

Rondo specializes in the development of tamper evident folding boxes – a core requirement of the European Directive 2011/62/EU that will come into force by 2016. Rondo’s folding box with tamper evidence features first opening verification through perforations in the closing lid and the dust flaps that rip off when the folding box is opened the first time. This solution has the paramount advantage of being realized solely by converting the carton which makes it completely independent from the use of additional materials such as glue or labels. Port Bateau Flexible Bag Port Technoflex has developed a new connector called Boat Port that is used in place of tubing. It’s made from the same material as the flexible bag itself. This connector can be welded ultrasonically to the bag without human intervention, suiting the system to aseptic bag applications. Boat Port is designed to fully evacuate the bag of all contents, promoting dosing accuracy and cost efficiency when filling expensive contents such as cytotoxic drugs.
